You can buy a SIM card for about 17,244.43 UGX, which includes 1 GB of data plan. You can choose from 6 telecoms: Africell, Airtel, MTN, Smart Telecom, Smile or UT Mobile.

Uganda uses GSM mobile networks GSM 900 and GSM 1800.
