Mauritius uses the Mauritian rupee (symbol: ₨), code MUR.
Banknotes come in denominations of 2000, 1000, 500, 200, 100, 50 and 25 rupees. Rupee is subdivided into 100 cents. Coins come in denominations of 20, 10, 5, 1 and ½ rupees and 20 and 5 cents.
